Seventeen years ago, I began a deep exploration of my inner world. At that time, I struggled to understand my behaviors, thoughts, and emotions. I couldn’t even find the right words to describe how I was feeling. After two years of intensive personal therapy, which I am profoundly grateful for, my life transformed. The buried experiences and emotions that had been hidden in my subconscious started to resurface, allowing me to reconnect with myself.
Following this, I participated in numerous workshops and support groups to further explore my emotional landscape. My growing fascination with mental health led me to study counseling, which deepened my understanding of myself, others, and mental health issues. The counselling training I undertook required me to apply my learnings to my own experiences.
While person-centered counselling forms the cornerstone of my practice, my personal and professional journey has introduced me to other approaches that I find effective in client work. I utilize techniques such as working with the subconscious mind, shadow work, integration of consciousness, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to foster meaningful and lasting change and to heal past traumas.
Through my experiences, I’ve come to believe that counseling is most effective when it integrates spirituality. A holistic approach that encompasses body, mind, and soul can lead to profound and lasting change.
